Dr Karen Sank

Karen is a 2003 Queensland medical graduate and locally-trained Neurologist (Princess Alexandra Hospital, Greenslopes Private Hospital, Prince Charles Hospital, Royal Brisbane Women’s Hospital and Gold Coast Hospital). In 2011 she undertook a fellowship in Neurophysiology and Neuromuscular Disease at the Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH) in Sydney under the supervision of some of Australia’s leading specialists in the neurological subspecialty of electro-diagnostic neurophysiology and neuromuscular disease. She went on to work at Royal North Shore Hospital as a consultant Neurologist before moving into private practice. Karen has continued to work in private practice running both general and neurophysiology clinics. Her practice includes the diagnosis and management of patient with various neurological conditions such as, Headache/Migraine, Epilepsy, Neuropathy,Movement disorder, Multiple Sclerosis and stroke. She has experience in managing patients with Deep Brain Stimulation. Karen has now opened a Neurophysiology and General Neurology Clinic here on the Sunshine Coast offering comprehensive neurological care.. Karen and her family have now permanently established themselves on the Sunshine Coast. She is passionate about her clinical role, enjoys close interaction with her patients and looks forward to building close professional relationships with colleagues and referrers in the local medical community.
